Welcome Year 2011

Well, here we are in the year 2011. Its was not really anything big, but I kinda got in to the new year with a wrong attitude after several mobile operators failed my live telecast of the London's New Year fireworks show. I've brought several bad habits form 2010 into 2011, but I think I will get the help of God with that.

In this new year, many new dreams, many new ideas, many new goals had been born from my mind. God has His many interesting ways to carry out plans and routes of His own. One of my goals of this year is D2ECS Productions. My goal is build by my awesome cousins, my two dear sisters and my talented younger brother.

Well.... So far, I have been praying for my sister, me and my gang that everything will go smooth and well. I will have some details in the next post about my main goal for this year. Thats all for now....

A Taste of the outside world

Since I decided to further my studies abroad, I chose UK as country for my expansion. Well, it has been months since I updated my personal blog. Now here I go, so many things has happened since this update. I manage to get my ambitions up and recruiting members for our productions group back in Malaysia. The cousins manage to hook up something and now we are doing recording and covers for our hobby. I hope we will be able to expand very soon and become better and be well known.

FGA College Camp 2009

One word....AWESOME!! This was my best college camp ever. The coldness of the night, the wonderful worship songs, the awesome food, the close company of friends, the chats and not to mention, the cute babies!! :D

I had an awesome time in camp. Above is my games group, the S.W.A.T team :D Didnt win anything during the games tho, but we had fun!! Sadly, I sold my Canon 30D.... cant really take much nice pictures up there and also.... laziness has creep-ed in to my hands to just point and shoot!! Haha!! So... yea...waiting for my new baby to come :D 5D MII :D

Btw, here is my baby I was talking about. She had the privilege of playing computer games during sermons and worship :D Haha!! Got her kinda hooked to it too!! :D This is my chemistry teacher's baby. Cute eh!! :D

I don't really have much pictures to show you all about camp, may be I will be blogging on the dinner night, the last dinner in my next post and the badges, manual, tags which were so nice. They were designed by one of SoulKeeper's Players. Proud sial!! :D Till then :D

No editing have been done to the pictures, what so ever due to the laziness in me...

Twitt Twitt!! I am hacked!!

If you’ve been experiencing difficulty in connecting to Twitter over the past 24-hours, it’s not your Internet Service Provider’s fault – Twitter was hacked. Yesterday, hackers launched a denial-of-service attack onto Twitter, making it slow and sometimes inaccessible. At the same time, Facebook was also experiencing some irregular access problems.

According to source, they suspect that the attack was due to the ongoing political conflict between Russia and Georgia. Hackers then started spamming Emails with links to Twitter, Facebook and other sites written by a pro-Abkhazia activist, overloading them with illegitimate traffic. Although the problem only took few hours to solve (approximately 1 hour according to Twitter Status Page) it caused quite some hassle to Twitter dependent individuals – how do you find out that Twitter has been hacked when you can’t access it?

My message : twitt twitt!! I am hacked!! Congratulations to all denial of service hacker which hacked twitter!!

ACER Aspire 5935G Review part 2

Well guys, this is my second part of the ACER Aspire review.

this is the acer power button i mentioned earlier, it enables you to switch off your graphics card and revert to the intel integrated graphics to conserve power.

we have another star from me, for this little piece of gadget. this acer holds a 2mp webcam. a 720p high definition webcam for chatting. its very suitable for video conferencing and taking pictures.

finger biometrics for extra security protection

acer have adapted this concept of giving the user and option for everything, shutting off screens, touchpad, and even graphics card. :)

running on a Intel Core 2 Duo Processor 2.4GHz and Nvidia GT130M

the connectivity corner, the bluetooth and wifi touch buttons

the awesome touch media controls on the right side of the laptop, what you are seeing here is the volume control!! :)

touch sensitive media controls

the awesome fine touch keyboard with back light, not sure if its able to handle hard tapping.

ACER Aspire 5935G

ACER as everyone knows, have been the No.1 Notebook builder in Malaysia. Well, their products still suffer from design and durability issues. The main problem goes to their keyboards, the keys on the Aspire versions are more fragile than the TravelMate versions. Okay... No I have in hand the latest ACER Aspire 5935G and the keyboard suffers the same problem. I think they still have not learn from their mistakes.

On to my review of the ACER Aspire 5935G. My laptop specs are as bellow,

Processor : Intel Core 2 Duo 2.4GHz
Graphics : Nvidia GT130M 1GB DDR2 (build-in memory)
RAM : Kingston DDR3 1066MHz 4GB
Harddisk : 500GB Sata 2

Well, I guess this is all you guys have to know. So far, the design is not bad, but yet again, the keyboard is not for monster strength hands. We have a neat backlited keyboard, connectivity touch keys, media control touch keys, on/off for touch pad, on/off for HD LCD, and the amazing power saver button.

Power Saver

Firstly, I want to comment on the power saver button. Its absolutely amazing piece of idea by ACER. When the power saver is off, you can run your High Definition games on high and play your heart out. But when the power saver is on, the laptop switches to Intel Integrated Extreme Graphics. This is cool because, when you are doing office work on the go and you need power, you will be able to switch off your graphics card!! :D Take a look at the graphics specs with power saver on and off.

this is power saver on

this is power saver off

Sound and Navigation

ACER finally got a grasp on the plastic touch which is obviously more sensitive and touch friendly than the normal gloss kinds on the Aspire 3000 series. Well, Dell is still to catch up. We have the ACER MediaControl on the right hand side and the ACER connectivity on the left. the response on the touch keys are absolutely amazing. Very human touch friendly. :) One up from me!!

ACER also took multimedia and sound systems to the next level. Comparing to DELL, Compaq and HP, ACER uses Dolby Home Theater Virtual Surround Sound and the new and powerful ACER Tuba Subwoofer with Cinebass!! The sound just blows you away!! In Dell studios, I wonder why they call....it Studio when the sound does not even match a Nokia N95 sound system, sadly.....

Screen and Body

Next off to the screen, well, we have the 15.6" HD screen, with the frameless design.
  • 16.7 million colours
  • 16:9 aspect ratio
  • 8 ms high-def response time
  • 60% color gamut
  • Frameless design
The body weight and dimensions is overall... not very heavy for the material used. The ACER Aspire 5935G is built with aluminum and plastic.

  • 382 (W) x 274 (D) x 26/39.5.6 (H) mm (15.0 x 10.8 x 1.0/1.6 inches)
  • 3.0 kg (6.6 lbs.) with 6-cell battery
I will be having more reviews coming up next. Stay tuned!! :D

HDR Photography and Photo Editing

Last month, I made a trip down to Melaka again.... yup! For Jon's assignment and well.... the food as well. I played around with my camera and took some some images. I managed to edit the pictures and made my very own gothic cemetry picture!! I also managed to play around with some HDR editing in Photoshop. Owh the wonder..... of...... Photoshop... :P Anyway, a quick brief on how the shots were made. Its simple, just get you own model, the right type of clothes and a cemetry, chinese or christan cemetry works best for this shot. Here are the original shots and the edited ones.

this is one of the pictures taken in camerons, the lipton tea plantation. Edited HDR

the taken image before it was edited in photoshop. and before the elements have been added

this is the image after the editing. can you spot the difference?? Haha!!

ASUS N50v Review

Last 3 weeks, I managed to test the newly released ASUS N50. In my opinion, this laptop is not for a very hardcore gamer to use. Well, it only runs on a GeForce 9300 GS 512MB mainly for medium gaming. This laptop is only capable of running Left 4 Dead on medium graphics. This laptop also have weight issues, weighing at 2.7kg, is not something you want to have in your college bag...:P The complete specs are as bellow.

  • Intel Core 2 Duo T9400/P8600/P7350
  • Intel PM45+ICH9M
  • 4GB DDR2 RAM
  • 15.4 (WXGA/WXGA+/WSXGA)
  • NVIDIA GeForce 9300M GS с 512MB
  • 500GB HDD
  • DVD/Blu-ray
  • 2 Mega Pixel webcam
  • Bluetooth, Wi-Fi
  • Windows Vista Home Premium

equiped with finger print scanner, led lited shortcuts and altec lancing speakers
