My Ultimate MMD System

Finally!! I get to post after my hectic period of assignments. Well.....early last week, I got my Multimedia System for my college use. For starters, here are the hardwares...

Gigabyte Poseidon Chassis - RM 400
AMD Phenom x4 Processor 9850 - RM 680
ASUS 780G Motherboard - RM 320
ATi HD 4750 512MB GDDR3 Graphics Card - RM 620
Cooler Master 600w PSU - RM 260
ASUS LightScribe DVD Drive DVD RAM - RM 100
Western Digital HDD 320GB - RM 180
Western Digital MyBook 320GB - RM 250
HP 22" LCD Panel - RM999
Microsoft Gaming Keyboard (with Luminance) - RM360
RAZER Diamondback Mouse - RM 180
Sony Bravia Home Theatre System - RM 1100

Among all my computer friends, we had a benchmark test and full hardware test. And the system turned out awesome!! The specs were all a norm except the Bravia System. My friends think I am crazy....!! LOL. Instead of getting a normal computer speaker. I got a Home Theatre as my speakers.

For me, the BRAVIA is an awesome piece of hardware!! :) And the SPIDER Platform by AMD. The speed is amazing, graphics by the ATi HD 4750 managed to grab 13622 marks from the Fururemark 3D Mark 2006. Not bad eh.....;P As for the ASUS motherboard, if you are in the multimedia line, the motherboard supports all types of media. Output and input. :) Also another cheap and affordable hardware. :D

this is my motherboard from behind, 8 chanel audio, eSATA, High speed USB, optical outbut, HDMI output, Firewire, Gigabit Network, DVI output. Practically future proof!!!

Fire and Ice (Ancient Warriors)

Finally....the final upgrade for my 4 year old baby. This baby is running on a Intel Pentium 4 processor. I got this baby when I was in form 3. And not to mention, I am quite attached to her. :P Hmm.... here is a little history about her. Her initial speed was 2.8GHz, I upgraded it to 3.0GHz early last year. I also gave her a new motherboard early last year and 2GB RAM to top that up. :D Not to mention, a ATi Radeon 9550 Gamer Edition GPU by GeCube. And this week, I got her a Sapphire ATi HD2600XT GPU!! Running on GDDR3, this piece of hardware packs a punch, quite a pleasing score for the 2600XT in 3D Mark 03 ( 11171 marks ). Even for the ancient AGP x8 slots. This card needs a 6-pin connector. :D From the red fire 9550 to this blue ice HD2600XT.

The Sapphire HD2600XT card, really love the blue.....

the installation of the new graphics card

well, my retired ATi 9550. Still working in perfect condition. :D Just got cleaned

the head to head comparison.....well, the 9550 heatsink is much bigger!! Haha!

Proton T-bolt

Finally...I get to test and review the highest class mountain bikes from Proton. Well among its T-bolt models, this is the base specs with a whole lot of performance. I tested the bike on road and off road. Hmmm..... for off road, this bike may need some tuning to the shocks. For off road setting to be used on road... abit strength taxing.... The shocks will be soft and absorb most of your leg power on road. Have to pump the shocks hard to max up your power from your thighs to you knee, calf and ankle out to your foot. T-bolt works awesome on off roads, not to mention...the comfort, and if you are in competition? The performance!! Its robust, and easy on the handling. Nice bends and sharp hill destroyer for this T-bolt. Hop on logs, jump off rocks!! No problem!! In water? Braking is still awesome!! :D Overall, its a great light weight weapon from Proton. It could be quite a harmful weapon to other off roaders... Watch out!! :D If anyone is looking for a base montain bike....for starters n for training. This will be awesome!! :) Mind you, I have no problem fitting two T-bolts in to my Kancil!! LOL
Sadly...no clip on paddle for you mountain bikers.... you might want to invest in a LOOK or a Shimano paddle. Or if you have more money, go for the lighter ones!! Haha!!

Believe if or not!! This bike weighs only 14kg... and cost only RM1800!! Proton T-bolt Handmade carbon fibre frame!! Compared to my imported GIANT road bike from UK at RM8k.... for the frame!! Well...its handmade Aluxx Aluminium. And the "GIANT" weighs only 12kg... Haha!! Paying for less weight... that is the hope and prayer of all cyclist. LOL. I have another orange one coming!! :D

Here is my review....a new baby to my team.

GIANT
Magura
Campagnolo
Shimano
FOX

Firstly is.... the sexy body of the T-Bolt... Handmade carbon fibre!!

Strong a robust design... great color tones!!

Not forgetting the Proton Logo in the front. :D

Shimano Deore LX for the back. Love the black!! :D

Formula 32H for the hub!! Black also!! But if I have more money... MAVIC!! Here I come!!

Strong and durable TRUVATIV cranks, well almost the best in terms of weight per dollar compared to Campag or Shimano

Shiny cassette...and not to mention, light too.... There are the back levers. :)

Shimano Deore trigger gear shifter, shimano LX derailleur for the front

brake levers, by TEKTRO....

something to tag along... Rigida TAURUS disc brake rims. Taurus 2000 anodised black

TAURUS rims for the T-bolt

for the headset, we have AHEADSET and Cane Creek

Proton added a awesome feature to the bike... quick release levers for instant rim change or for traveling

owhh yeah!! this is awesome!! TEKTRO disc brakes!! Excellent braking and handling.....
But i still prefer Magura or the Shimano Dydraulic! Haha!!

a closer look here...at the disc brakes

here we have the air shocks from DNM Torch performance suspension. Well I loved it!! Great response and well.. a valve to add air.. LOL

for the front, we have RST Capa T4 air shocks!! Off road performance? RST = Awesome!! Obviously you cant compare it to a FOX shox... but for the price... Why not??!!
